Search the project or agent on the RERA Rajasthan portal (rera.rajasthan.gov.in). Projects on more than 500 sq m of land or with more than eight units must register; RERA Rajasthan treats either condition as enough. Registered agents appear under the portal's list of registered agents with their registration number.

| Rajasthan rule | Either condition is enough (order of 8 Mar 2022) |
Under Section 3 of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, a project must be registered if the land exceeds 500 sq m or the number of units exceeds eight. In an order dated 8 March 2022, RERA Rajasthan held that meeting either condition requires registration. Plotted colonies sold by a developer usually qualify.
Ask every agent for their registration number before you share documents or pay anything.
Do not pay. Selling or advertising an unregistered project that should be registered is a violation, and your remedies are weaker.
No. RERA registration is for projects sold by a promoter. A resale of an individual unit does not need it.
Agents who facilitate sales in registered projects must register with RERA Rajasthan and quote their registration number.
Send the plot number, colony and patta photo on WhatsApp. We'll tell you what's verified, what's missing and what to ask the seller.
