The DLC (District Level Committee) rate is the government's minimum value for property in each area of Rajasthan, used to calculate stamp duty. You pay duty on the DLC value or the price, whichever is higher. DLC rates rose about 10% statewide from 1 April 2026, with a Jaipur revision reported at 10% to 49% depending on the zone. Each area, and often each colony or road, has a DLC rate per unit of land (and rates for construction). Multiply by the area to get the DLC value. Stamp duty, cess and registration are charged on the higher of the DLC value and the agreed price.
